INDIVIDUALIZED SKILL DEVELOPMENT

The AHP Academy is completely unique in that we will put what is best for each individual player’s development first. This may mean logging many innings or at bats for the fall, or it may mean prioritizing the weight room in the early off-season – as just one example. Each athlete will receive a highly detailed and intensive plan tailored to their specific needs and long-term plan.

COLLEGE PLACEMENT

We take complete ownership of the college recruiting process. This means there’s no need for any outside recruiting service – we do all of that work for you.
We like to tell our athletes it’s their responsibility to develop their game, and it’s ours to get their video in front of as many college coaches as possible.

WORLD CLASS ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE TRAINING

AHP is incredibly unique in our approach to training.
It all starts with a thorough assessment process. From there, every aspect of the training program is individualized – from the athlete’s warm-ups to their lifts, to their arm care routine, to their speed and agility training.
Additionally, athletes will be coached on nutrition strategies and have access to cutting-edge recovery modalities like MarcPro.

STATE OF THE ART FACILITIES

The Academy trains at Absolute Human Performance: a 16,000 square foot, state of the art training facility – one of the best in all of Canada

The Academy's home field is the recently rennovated RE/MAX Field in the heart of the Edmonton river valley with one of the best artificial turf surfaces in Canada

COMPETITIVE SCHEDULE

Playing at the next level is generally a massive step for Canadians when they head to the US to college.
A major pillar of our program is to decrease the magnitude of that step, by creating the best year-round competition schedule of any Canadian program.
This means numerous showcases and tournaments to the USA and continuing to challenge our group by playing the best teams locally and across all of North America

Phase 1

September 1 - October 31

  • 6-7 days per week
  • Fall Practice & Competitive Schedule
  • 2nd Annual Kansas Showcase Tour

Phase 2

November 1 - March 31

  • Off-Season Training
  • Individualized Athletic Performance Plan:
    • Custom Strength & Conditioning Program
    • Custom Sprint/Agility Program
    • Individualized Arm-Care & Mobility Program
  • Individualized Skill Development Plan:
    • Individualized Throwing & Hitting Programs
  • Team Baseball Practice (Baserunning, Individual Defense, Team Defense, Competitive Game Simulation Work)
  • Use State of the Art, Cutting Edge Technology (Edgertronic Camera, Trackman, Rapsodo Pitching & Hitting)
  • Weekly Mental Game Meetings
  • Culminates in an Arizona Spring Training Trip (week of training, practice, and competition)

Phase 3

April 1 - August 1

  • 60+ Competitive Spring & Summer Schedule
  • Multiple Spring USA Showcase Trips & Tournament
  • Spokane Wood Bat Classic
  • Weekends Will Be Spent Playing: Okotoks, Vauxhall, Webber, etc.
  • Mid-Week Games Against Local Men’s Teams
  • In-Season Training Continues in Maintenance Phase
  • 24/7 Access at AHP for Extra Hitting and Work
